About Me

Hola!

My name is Señora Quinones and I am from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.  Spanish is my first language.  I have been teaching K-8 for 8 years now.  I have lived in the Dominican Republic, Colombia, New York, Colorado and last June I moved with my family to our beautiful Massachusetts.  I am the mother of a young 16-year-old teenager who began his junior year and who I can proudly say is a National Judo Champion and who now is part of the New England Youth Symphony.  Additionally, for the past 20 years I have been the wife of a wonderful chef from the Culinary Institute of America, which makes me a happy fan of international food.  In my spare time, I enjoy the company of my family, walking with my English bulldog Marcela, traveling, and learning about other cultures through their music, traditions, and food.

I am so excited to be a part of your student’s Spanish learning journey at the Alcott Elementary School!
