Nancy Poydar (author, illustrator) Author of Fish School and Bunny Business, Nancy Poydar will read to the class and disassemble a sketch copy of one of her books.  The students will spot the sequential plot points as they arrive in the story.  Classroom presentations at 9:15, 10:15, 12:30, and 1:30.

Ted Scheu (poet) Poet (and Sanborn graduate) Ted Scheu will bring his whimsical poetry and inspiration to an assembly for grades 4 and 5, and then in-class poetry workshops through April 14.

On March 21, we will be sending to parents their child’s Student Verification Form and an optional Parent Feedback Form.  The optional Parent Feedback Form for students in grades K-4 is an opportunity for parents to give us feedback when we’re creating classrooms for the 2016-2017 school year.  We cannot accept requests for specific teachers, but we welcome parents’ input regarding friends and learning needs.  These forms are due back to Alcott by April 15.  The placement process begins over the April break and any forms received after the break cannot be considered.  Thank you in advance for your support
