Letter from the Principal – January 6, 2020
Happy New Year!! I hope that everyone had a wonderful vacation and was able to spend time with family and friends. It’s hard to believe that we just entered a new decade! I look forward to seeing what the new year will bring at school!
Staffing Changes: I want to extend a warm welcome to two new staff members. Joelle Bottasso will be covering in 1st grade for the rest of the year for Mrs. McGuire. Jennifer Sullivan will be joining us at the end of January to fill in for Ms. Lentini. We also have a few staffing changes to highlight. Kelly Dillon will be covering for Mr. Besserrer for the second half of the year. Kim Gleckas will be filling in for our reading tutor, Catherine Watts. And Alex Poirier will be transitioning into the special education tutor position in 4th grade.
Progress Reports: Progress reports will be published to the Aspen Parent Portal on February 11th. If you haven’t used the portal in a while, you might want to double check to make sure you can log in. Follow this link to the Alcott Website if you need help logging in.
Cold Weather Recess: We make every effort to send students outside to play each day. Please help us by making sure you send your children to school with warm winter clothing, including snow pants when appropriate. If you need any support with winter outerwear, please do not hesitate to reach out to the school.
