Lexia Reading Core5

Lexia Reading Core5 covers the six areas of reading for students of all abilities in grades pre-kindergarten through grade 5: Phonological Awareness, Phonics, Structural Analysis, Fluency, Vocabulary, and Comprehension. Unlike many other computer programs, Lexia Reading Core5 is customized to each individual student. After an Auto Placement assessment, each student follows a personalized set of lessons with adaptive placement and activities specifically designed for the Common Core. Students of all abilities work at their own level and at their own pace. The program provides explicit instruction and practice for struggling students and it gives advanced students the opportunity to work at a faster pace on above-grade level skills. The student data from the program is immediately available to Alcott classroom teachers, who can use the action plans to design instruction and help students reach grade level benchmarks.

Either of the two options below will allow all K-5 Alcott students to access Lexia Reading Core5 at home in the same manner that it is used here at school:

In the “Students” section of the Navigation Bar, you will find a direct link to the Concord Public Schools login for Lexia Reading Core5. On this page, your child can input his/her username and password and then he/she will be logged in to the actual program.
