The Alcott School Library Media Center relies on a volunteer network of parents and community members.  Under the guidance of a Library Volunteer Coordinator, volunteers are recruited and trained at the start of each school year, and a volunteer schedule is created to cover all classes for that school year.  Volunteer tasks include:

  • Circulation of materials
  • Shelving and shelf reading
  • Assisting students with book selection
  • Housekeeping

Please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Jessica Lambert (jessonwalden@gmail.com) if you would like to become a volunteer in the library.  Remember that all completed CORI forms must be submitted in person to the Alcott Office, accompanied by a photo ID. Thank you.
